A great time this morning at the Back the Blue Wake event in Apex! We had a great turnout, all in support of our incredible men and women of law enforcement. Special thanks to Sheriff Donnie Harrison for speaking, and to Crystal and the entire Back the Blue Wake team for all that they did to make today such a success.
After our event, we donated lunch to local Apex police officers and fire fighters.
Each and every day, we’re thankful for the heroic actions of our law enforcement officers. Today’s gathering was a small token of our appreciation for all that they do. #backtheblue! #WakeStrong!

Today, #TeamSwain partnered with Latinos For Freedom to hold a Back the Blue, Feed the Blue event in downtown Raleigh. Volunteers from across our city and state came together to provide lunch for our law enforcement officers. We were so thankful to be able to support our courageous men and women of the blue with this small token of appreciation. Together, our community remains #WakeStrong.

This week, #TeamSwain put out over 800 flags alongside neighbors and friends as we pause to reflect on the historic start to our nation’s Founding. As those famous words were written in the Declaration of Independence, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
This special weekend, we come together to rededicate ourselves to carrying out the vision that our Founding Fathers crafted. We celebrate our shared values, freedoms, and customs, and above all else, we honor what brings us together as one United States of America.

Yesterday, #TeamSwain made face mask donations to 3 different local businesses and groups: Latinos For Freedom, Play it Again Sports of Fuqua-Varina, and 3HC (Home, Health and Hospice Care Inc). We were also joined by Donnie Harrison, Erin Pare, and Steve Hale in these donations.
Today, I was glad to help set up and serve at the Latinos For Freedom's 'Back the Blue' lunch for First Responders in downtown Raleigh alongside several Wake County candidates.
